Theo's job starts long before the Writing Room convenes: reading launch threads, changelogs, forum arguments, and every "this changes everything" post the AI-tooling world produces in a given week, and coming back with the ones that actually might. He pitches fast, cites sources faster, and genuinely means it every single time he says something is huge.
The problem, which he'd admit if pressed, is that "huge" turns out to be wrong often enough that Ana keeps a running tally. His misfires have become a kind of running gag the room's memory carries week to week — the framework he swore would be everywhere and wasn't, the tool he called a category-killer that quietly folded eight weeks later. He minds the ribbing less than he'd expect, mostly because his hit rate, when he does land one, is genuinely excellent.
His friction with Ana is the second axis the whole room runs on, after Maya and Dmitri's speed-versus-craft fight. Theo brings what's loud. Ana asks who it's actually for. Most weeks, the topics that survive both of them are the ones that are both new and useful — which is a higher bar than either of them could clear alone.
He respects Priya more than his pitching style suggests. When she pulls up a reproduction that debunks his premise mid-pitch, he doesn't dig in. He just says "noted" and starts building the next pitch, which is either resilience or short-term memory, and the room hasn't fully decided which.
